Laying in bed tonight, feeling guilty and overly full from eating too much peanut butter, jelly, and chocolate. So, I slips on the H Streets and hit the streets. Ran 5.65 miles. I used a heart rate monitor that I haven't used in a while, and quickly learned why. The battery was weak and gave inconsistent signals, so I had to run by feel instead of heart rate alarm. That's not all bad as I prefer the more natural approach anyway. Good, low intensity run. Going to try to hit it daily next week, an hour a day, with one hill day in the middle of the week, and the rest being low intensity/recovery/base building runs. Trying to rebuild my aerobic function.

Here we go again.

Well, (there it is again) I've been really unfocused dor quite a while. Actually I was focused on running for a long time went Vegan and saw a big jump in performance (though whether that was from weight loss or the diet I'm not sure), then became unfocused and drank and smoked cigars and lifted weights for a couples months and lost all my progress. I added 10 lbs, my pace dropped from 9:30/mile to 11:30. Today I went to the Wiss. and hit it hard. No hr limits, just running the hills, zigzagging across the gorge. Felt good though I felt sluggish and heavy. Need. To figure out how I'm going to tran what philosophy I'll follow Van Aaken or Brain Training,or just running by feel without regard to hr; or pace based running or easy/hard alternating runs...who knows LIke I said, I am going to have to figure it out. The main thing is to pic a strategy for training and diet and to dick with hit.  Consistency is more important here. Need to clarify my goals too. Still trying to find the balance of running with reading and paying guitar and duties. God first, family second, then hobbies. I'm going to commit to blogging more frequently too to stoke and maintain my motivation. Later.
